Pratik Ambani

Pratik completed Juris Doctor (Master of Laws) from Monash University and has an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Structural Engineering.

Since joining CIS, Pratik has been heavily involved in the development of grant applications including; estimating the likely economic benefit this funding brings, the development of the cash budget and financial tables, the project management of the various components of the application process as well as the development of the various written sections of the application.

Prior to joining CIS, Pratik worked with the Faculty of Law at Monash University in various roles across Marketing & Engagement, Finance, Resources and Operations, Event Management and Student Services. He also worked as a Research Assistant for Monash Law Clinics providing insights for the design of pilot program on Innovation & Startup Law Clinic.

While studying JD, he undertook a clinical placement with TradeLab and conducted a technical review of domestic legislation governing Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). He was also selected to be a participant of Monash University's prestigious Leadership Excellence with John Bertrand program in 2017. 

Pratik has five years of experience in project management for a $2 billion power plant construction project where he was involved in contract management, time extension analysis, insurance claims, reconciliation, budgeting and even on-site construction work. He briefly worked with CIS in developing a forecast impact assessment for a Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) bid.

Pratik is also involved in a number of non-consulting activities.  He is the founding board member and Sponsorship Manager for a non-profit VicWISE (Victorian Working Group on International Student Employability) and also the Co-Founder of Monash Cultural & Lingual Appreciation Network (M-CLAN). He was the President of the Australian Federation of International Students (AFIS) in 2018.
