Dr Bridgette Semple

Dr. Bridgette Semple is a Senior Consultant with over 15 years of experience in health and medical research. Her background as an academic neuroscientist provides her with a strong foundation in project management, scientific leadership, and securing competitive research funding. Dr. Semple has a proven track record of leading diverse local and international research collaborations. She is adept at analysing and synthesising complex evidence to inform data-driven decision making, and excels at communicating effectively, both in writing and orally, for a variety of audiences and formats. She has deep experience as a successful applicant, reviewer, and/or consultant with many of Australia's research funding schemes including CRC and CRC-Ps, MRFF and NHMRC grants.

Since joining the CIS team, Bridgette has provided clients with strategic insights, facilitated stakeholder consultations, and delivered high-quality grant and report writing, as well as project management expertise. Her contributions span a diverse portfolio of projects, including exploring innovative approaches for the deathcare industry, building a case for local medtech manufacturing, supporting technology solutions for the care economy, and optimising support services for victim-survivors of financial abuse. 

Bridgette holds a minor academic appointment at Monash University as an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience, School of Translational Medicine. She holds a PhD and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) from Monash University.
