Mike Pepperell

Mike Pepperell has almost two decades of management consulting experience. He commenced his consulting career at KPMG where, as a Partner, he led the national Business Transformation and Change practice for almost ten years. This role has given him considerable breadth of consulting experience which includes leading large-scale restructuring projects and hands on implementation of organisational change.

He has deep higher education sector experience, having advised the Vice Chancellor of the University of Western Sydney and personally led a six month engagement on the development and implementation of the University’s three year business plan and strategy. He has led many organisational redesign projects as well as assisted in the implementation of these projects. This experience includes the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies Professional Staff Organisational Review which he led at the University of Tasmania.

Mike’s consulting experience also spans the banking and finance; mining; aviation; transport; manufacturing and commercial printing sectors. His core expertise is leading large complex projects, organisational restructuring and change management. He is equally passionate when it comes to both strategy development and execution.

Prior to consulting, Mike was an Executive at Telstra where he held senior roles in Industrial Relations, Human Resources and operational Line Management. He has also been the CEO of a leading Project Management firm and the COO of a listed Accounting and Wealth Management company with turnover in excess of $400M.

Mike’s working relationship with the Directors of CIS spans approximately 15 years. He is qualified with a Master of Business Administration (Melbourne Business School) and a Bachelor of Business (Monash University – Chisholm).
