Greg has nearly 20 years of management consulting experience. He has consulted in the United States for nearly 3 years to predominantly Fortune 500 companies reporting directly to the Presidents of each client. He has worked for KPMG’s Advisory arm and since 1996 has been the Founding Director of CIS.
Over the past 5 years his primary focus has been assisting clients raise money from large government grants (where he has successfully raised $581 million), redesign organisations including implementing mergers, developing strategic plans both at a divisional, organisational and industry level, building business plans for new technologies, aligning organisations around customer needs and providing commercialisation/business development skills training.
Greg’s core expertise is leading large complex projects, helping to set the strategic direction of projects, chairing and facilitating workshops and project managing engagements. Unlike most management consultants Greg is often heavily involved in the implementation of projects. This approach not only sees clients retain the valuable insights gained during projects it also helps to ensure that recommendations made are implementable.
Although his current client base is predominantly the education and research sector, he has worked extensively in the health, manufacturing, design, engineering, finance, tourism, mining, telecommunications and logistics sectors.
Prior to consulting Greg worked in two roles for the Australian Chamber of Manufactures as Industrial Relations Advisor and as an economist.
Greg has an Economics Degree (Honours), Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, and an MBA from the Melbourne Business School. He was one of two students selected to complete his studies at the University of Southern California where he was awarded the Dean’s International Fellow.
