$31 million to boost health services in South East NSW
Background: The Southern General Practice Network engaged CIS to assist with a Health and Hospital Fund grant application. The project was an innovative collaboration between the region’s universities and the primary health care sector, and was driven by the need for health infrastructure in the region.
Approach: CIS worked closely with the bid team to develop a business case for the application. The business case highlighted the needs for integrated services and the impacts from embedding medical, nursing and allied health students into rural communities in South East of NSW for the benefit of patients and the region’s future health workforce.
Results: The Health and Hospital Fund grant application was successful and the consortium was awarded $31 million towards improving health services in Moruya, Bega and Cooma.
